Biotech beauty brand Mother Science launched its second product and raised an additional $3.5 million in funding, with Greycroft leading the round.WHO: Mother Science was founded by musicians Mike Einziger, lead guitarist of Incubus, and Ann Marie Simpson-Einziger, a violinist. The brand is based on a hero yeast-derived molecule called malassezin, which a series of clinical studies have suggested can effectively treat myriad forms of hyperpigmentation.
